To tell the story of the Ghost Ranch Lodge, one would have to go back in history to a legend born in Sante Fe, New Mexico. Philanthropist Arthur Pack, owner of the original Ghost Ranch, a working cattle ranch, had a dream of creating a garden spot in the desert. Thus, he created the Lodge on 8 acres of scenic Tucson desert landscape, with winding pathways, sunning patios and vast lawn areas. The world-famous cactus garden, which has grown to be one of the largest in the southwest, completes the oasis. Mr. Pack also brought with him the legend of the ghost that gave the Lodge its unique name and heritage. The Ghost Ranch Lodge is currently undergoing renovation.
